The Howard Park Ice Rink in South Bend is open for the season.

South Bend's most popular spot for ice skating is fairly inexpensive at only $6.00 for adults and $5.00 for children over the age of five.

Children under the age of five are free.

The cost to rent ice skates is only $3.00.

Many children at the ice rink on Friday were very excited to be able to hit the ice.

"I'm really excited. I love to come here in the winter and it's just an awesome experience to have with your friends," said Margaret Wang, a seventh grader.

The Howard Park Ice Rink is open through March.
