Huge asteroid to pass by Earth Friday

Scientists say that a huge asteroid is expected to pass by Earth.
However, they say it will not get closer than 3.6 million miles. To put it in perspective, that is about the 15 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
The closest approach of the asteroid is expected to happen around 4:59 Friday afternoon.
This is the closest the asteroid will be to Earth for at least the next two centuries.
