Humane Society holding adoption event to empty adoption center

The Humane Society of St. Joseph County is having their Mega Adoption Extravaganza to help empty their adoption center and find good homes for the pets.

The event will be held June 3rd-12th at the Humane Society of Saint Joseph County on Grape Road in Mishawaka.

The event will go from noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The humane society says this is their biggest pet adoption event with over 100 cats, more than 50 dogs, and several pocket pets such as rabbits all in need of homes.

According to the humane society, most canine adoption fees are cut in half and reduced to $100 while all feline adoption fees will be ‘Name Your Own Fee’.

They also say all dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and micro chipped.
