Humane Society of St. Joseph County hosts adoption day

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The Humane Society of St. Joseph County hosted an adoption day Saturday for the hundreds of cats and dogs who are waiting for a new home in Michiana.
Potential new pet owners walked through the shelter to look at animals and request some one-on-one play time.
"We house over 600 pets here at the shelter," said animal attendant Tricia McCann. "A lot of them are just looking for someone to give them the forever home that they need."
