Hundreds gather at Indianapolis Sikh temple for memorial service

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Hundreds gathered for a vigil in Indianapolis to support the Sikh community.

At the Sikh Foundation in Indianapolis, children honored the slain worshippers and gave accounts of how each person moved to the United States and what their lives were like.

The priest at this foundation actually went to school with three of the victims.

The diverse crowd stood together to support the Sikh community and to advocate against hate and violence.

And if you would like to take part, a Sikh temple in Mishawaka is holding a special prayer service this Sunday at 11 to pay tribute.

It is the Sikh Cultural Society of Indiana. And we will have all the details on ABC57.com.
