Hunter education classes offered by Indiana Conservation Officers

New hunting education classes are being offered by Indiana Conservation Officers and volunteer instructors as Michiana prepares for the 2016 deer hunting season.

Courses will provide instruction in safe firearm use and handling, hunter ethics and responsibility, game identification, and conservation management.

Anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to be certified in hunter education before purchasing a hunting license.

Officers say the classes will fill up fast and those interested are encouraged to register here prior to the start of the class.
