Hunter Jr. leaving Notre Dame, will play professional baseball

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -

Another Notre Dame football player is hanging up his football cleats. This time, though, it's because he's trading them in for baseball cleats.

Torii Hunter Jr. is following in his dad's footsteps and going to play professional baseball.

Hunter Jr. finished the 2016 season with 38 receptions for 521 yards and 3 touchdowns while only playing in nine games. He leaves Notre Dame with a degree in information technology management.

He will play in the Los Angeles Angles organization.
