Hurricane Isaac continues to push inland across Louisiana

LOUISIANA -- Hurricane Isaac continued to push inward across Louisiana on Tuesday evening.

Officials are concerned about the damage from heavy rains and storm surge could leave behind.

Forecasters are predicting nearly 20 inches of rain in some areas.

But the damage will not be limited to just the Gulf Coast.

"Isaac is not just going to be a coastal event," Dr. Rick Knabb, director of the National Hurricane Center said. "Inland flooding and maybe river flooding down the road."

ABC57 will continue to track the latest on Hurricane Isaac both on air and online.

You can find maps, stories and pictures from the Gulf Coast here.
