Hurricane Matthew is making an impact across the country, as many flights to and from the affected areas are either delayed or canceled.
South Bend International Airport is also affected. Allegiant Air's flights to and from Sanford, Florida have been canceled.
But if you want to check your flight status, calling the airline may not be the best option.
Allegiant Air's call center crashed Thursday, due to too high of a call volume from people wondering about their flights.
An airport official told ABC57 that the best way to check your flight status, to head online and look at the airport's website. Many times, the airport will have updates on statuses for various flights.
