Husband of woman found in Chicago apartment due in court June 17 in Berrien County

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Adam Beckerink is set to appear in Court June 17, He is the husband of 36 year old Caitlin Tracey who was found dead with her foot severed at the bottom of stairwell in a Chicago apartment building in October of 2024.
He will be in court in connection with domestic battery charges and charges regarding attacking police officers. This stems from criminal charges filed Beckerink for two domestic violence incidents at Caitlin’s home in New Buffalo in January and August of 2024. His trial on those charges in 2024 was supposed to begin a few days after Caitlin was found dead.
Caitlin died October 27th 2024 due to multiple injuries during the fall and her manner of death is still undetermined. Beckerink was taken into custody after police say he lied on the missing persons report filed hours before her death saying he had not seen her in months.
