Husband sentenced for wife's 2015 murder
The man accused of shooting and killing his wife in their Wayne Township home in May 2015 was sentenced on second degree murder charges on Friday.
The Cass County Prosecutor’s Office says Terry Ray Stineback was sentenced to 20-40 years in prison for the murder of Laura Stineback on May 12, 2015.
He was also sentenced to two years for possession of a firearm in the perpetration of the murder. That sentence is consecutive to the second degree murder charge.
Stineback was convicted of second degree murder, assault with intent to murder and felony firearm in June 2016.
Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz described Terry Stineback at sentencing as “a senseless execution of a wonderful woman.”
A 9-year-old child was in the home at the time of the murder. She was not harmed.
