BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has announced a power outage in St. Joseph, Michigan just south of Silver Beach.

The power outage was first reported around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Around 670 customers were affected by this power outage.

I&M believes a car accident caused the power outage.

Crews are working to bring power back and I&M are projecting the power to be back around 1230 p.m.

There is also a minor power outage in South Bend on Myrtle Rd. just off of Kern Rd.

The outage was first reported at around 540 p.m. Friday night. Only 5 customers have been affected by the outage.

There is no reported cause of the outage and no projection as to when the power will be back.
