So you’re out and about when a storm hits Michiana, but what happens when you’re away from the house and you don’t know if it’s your home that just lost power? Well I&M just gave you the option to check with your phone.

I&M just launched a new interactive mobile power outage map. The info is there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it shows you the number and location of outages in Indiana and Michigan.

You can zoom into the map to see outages by streets and neighborhoods… or just search. And it’s so simple because anyone can use it and you don’t have to log into any accounts.

Every 15 minutes, the map updates with the date and time of the outage report, the time it will be restored, number of customers without service, and the cause of the outage.
