Increased police presence at Penn High School following threat

MISHAWAKA, Ind.—Penn High School saw an increased police presence on Thursday following an alleged threat made on Wednesday.

Parents received a letter from the school on Wednesday evening informing them that St. Joseph County Police notified the school about the alleged threat.

The alleged threat was sent as a group text to some Penn High School students before spreading across social media platforms.

In the notice to parents, the school said that officers would be present at school on Thursday.

This is an ongoing investigation.
