Authorities arrest Indiana man for sexual misconduct with minor

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 28-year-old Dionel Mateo of Terre Haute on Friday. Authorities were investigating a cyber tip that they received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Vigo County Division 6 Court issued a search warrant as a result of an investigation.

Officials had interviewed Mateo as part of their preliminary findings before taking him into custody.

Mateo was transported to the Vigo County Jail where he is being held without bond.

Mateo was charged with Child Molestation and Possession of Child Pornography.

Assisting Agencies include Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Valdez, Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office, Indiana Department of Child Services, and Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center in Terre Haute.
