SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo is holding their annual back to school backpack drive-thru rally on Saturday, August 29 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to noon.
The SBCIBE will be giving away free school supplies and backpacks for students going into grades kindergarten through 12th grade, but will require the students to be present to receive a backpack.
A parent resource bag containing a face mask, toiletries and hand sanitizer will also be available as well.
Kinate Lark will also be there providing free haircuts from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The event is a first come, first serve basis.
All participants are asked to remain in their vehicle until it is their turn to receive supplies.
