Indiana boy not allowed to try out for basketball team

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- One Indiana boy with a pink mohawk was not allowed to try out for his school's basketball team.
Trevor Foster and his older brother are sporting pink mohawks to support their mom who is fighting breast cancer.
But the sixth grader was not allowed to try out for the team because of his new do.
The family talked with the school board members who supported their stance.
And the family says the board's support helped the principal change her mind.
Trevor will be allowed to try out for his team.
And his family is working with the school board to find away to show support for the causes like breast cancer awareness.
