ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Jackie Walorski, who represents Indiana’s 2nd district in Congress, made a visit to local Goodwills on Monday.
Walorksi was there to get a look at Goodwill’s workforce development initiatives. She also said that she is interested in seeing how Congress can contribute to their work.
“It’s not just clothes anymore,” Walorski said. “It’s not your parent’s store, right? It’s emerged, it’s gone futuristic, it still has the things that they did before but it’s definitely touching present day problems.”
She took a tour of the Goodwill off Western Avenue in South Bend and talked about the job opportunities Goodwill is offering.
She also touched on technology and its impact on jobs throughout the country.
