Indiana DNR helps rescue injured eagle

Several people helped rescue an injured bald eagle in Pike County Monday afternoon, according to Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement District 7.

The eagle was hit by a car on State Road 57 near the White River Bridge.

Corporal Eric Doane responded to the scene.

Eagle wranglers Brett Bobe, Chuck Stanker and Chris Royal helped secure the eagle so it could be taken to a wildlife rehabilitator.

It was taken to the vet on Tuesday for a leg injury.
