Indiana flags to be flown at half staff for Father Hesburgh

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Indiana Governor Mike Pence has directed all flags at state facilities statewide to be flown at half staff on Wednesday, March 4, in honor of Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, C.S.C.

The governor's office says the flags should be flown at half staff in honor of Father Hesburgh, “Whose leadership, wisdom and vision on matters of human and civil rights, education, and diplomacy helped to better this nation and our world.”

Wednesday is the day of his funeral and memorial service.
