Indiana House, Senate approve Sunday alcohol sales

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The bill allowing Hoosiers to purchase alcohol on Sunday has one final hurdle before becoming law. Both the House and the Senate have passed the bill, it is awaiting Governor Eric Holcomb's signature.

Once the governor signs the bill, Hoosiers will be able to buy alcohol on Sundays from noon to 8 p.m.

The bill was amended to be effective upon passage, instead of on July 1.
