SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Local schools are taking part in a high-tech challenge issued by the State of Indiana!
It is called Web 2.0. It is designed to get teachers to blog, use YouTube, and other digital tools.
The program is backed by Governor Daniels, who called February 1 "Digital Learning Day" in Indiana.
We caught up with a teacher at LaSalle Elementary in Mishawaka who is all for it!
"We use technology for math social studies; it really opens the kids view of the world,” said Eric Johnson, a 6th grade teacher.
The teacher said technology also helps kids collaborate, because they are working on the project with students from all over the world!
