Indiana Michigan Power begins aerial tree trimming next week

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana Michigan Power will begin aerial tree trimming in Michiana next week.

I&M will be trimming these trees near transmission power lines to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity in the area.

Residents may see and hear a helicopter-based-tree-trimming saw near power lines during the project.

Trimming begins on April 26 and is expected to last four to five weeks. Trimming will occur on Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting, in the following counties:

• Indiana
  • Elkhart
  • La Porte
  • Lake
  • Porter
  • St. Joseph
• Michigan
  • Berrien
  • Cass
  • Kalamazoo
  • St. Joseph
  • Van Buren
