SOUTH BEND, Ind.— Ryan Dawson was reunited with his family at the South Bend International Airport after months of deployment.
Dawson, who is a Fire Controlman 1st Class in the United States Navy, has been deployed to Japan since the beginning of 2018.
"I'm incredibly happy to be home, so that way I can be here with my girls and my parents. It's good that I was able to do it. I almost wasn't able to, so I got to be able to come and see my daughters," Ryan Dawson said.
Dawson hopes to spend as much time as possible with his family over the next two weeks before returning to Japan.
