Indiana police officer accused of stealing gas

WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- An Indiana police officer could lose his job for allegedly stealing gas

Investigators say 38-year-old Mark Arnold has been using the department's gas card to fill up his personal car and his girlfriend's SUV.

Arnold is a lieutenant with the West Terre Haute Police Department. The police chief started checking into it after a spike in gas usage.

He turned himself in to state police Monday, and is now facing six counts of theft.
