So when you make those plans to venture on out to a haunted house, trail, hayride, or amusement park, you've got plenty of options to choose from that are just a couple to a few hours away. That's not something every state can say!

If you're feeling especially adventurous, take a weekend and head to Illinois or Ohio. You'll have no shortage of haunted attractions in those states. In fact, you'll find a few of the most intense haunted houses in the country there.
