Indiana set to have 5th-most haunted houses in 2019
Halloween will be here before we know it. Somehow it's only 87 days away!
With that in mind, it's not too early to plan those trips to haunted houses, trails and more as many open up by mid-September!And, according to TheScareFactor.com, we are fortunate enough to be a part of the "scariest" zone in the United States when it comes to haunted houses!
Here are the top 10 states in terms of the total number of haunted houses this year:

3. Pennsylvania: 105
4. Illinois: 98
5. Indiana: 96

10. Michigan: 78Both Indiana and Michigan make the top 10 for total number of haunted attractions. And surrounding states like Illinois and Ohio have even more!
If you're a Halloween or haunted house junky, you couldn't ask to be in a better spot geographically speaking.So when you make those plans to venture on out to a haunted house, trail, hayride, or amusement park, you've got plenty of options to choose from that are just a couple to a few hours away. That's not something every state can say!
If you're feeling especially adventurous, take a weekend and head to Illinois or Ohio. You'll have no shortage of haunted attractions in those states. In fact, you'll find a few of the most intense haunted houses in the country there.
