Indiana State Fair announces theme for 2022 season

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The 165th Indiana State Fair is dedicating this year’s theme to Indiana’s Automotive Excellence, presented by the Tom Wood Automotive Group. It is set to take place from Friday, July 29 to Sunday, August 21.

The theme celebrates Indiana’s longstanding tradition of work in the automotive industry. Fairgoers will be able to see the fair’s wide array of cars from Indiana-made classics to celebrity cars from movies and books.

“We’ve been family-owned and locally operated serving Hoosiers since 1967,” said Jeff Wood, President of the Tom Wood Group. “We are honored to share in the celebration of Indiana’s Automotive Excellence highlighting the rich history and traditions of the automobile. It supports our motto of family, serve and community”.

“Fun at the speed of summer” will still feature the event’s usual activities like carnival rides, fair food, and 4-H competitions.

The fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for this season.
