Indiana State Fair Commission creates website to track investigation

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana State Fair Commission has created a website to provide information about the ongoing investigation of the August 13 accident at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The website is at this link: http:www.in.gov/sfc

The purpose of the site is for the Commission to provide public information about the accident investigation. The focus initially will be on the accident scene and access to the site but updates will be made that may be of more general interest.

Thornton Tomasetti, the engineering company the Commission has hired to conduct the on-site accident investigation, has established a credential procedure and protocol for access to the site. The website includes a credential request form as well as the site protocol policy. There is also an option to sign up to receive automatic updates of schedule information about access to the investigation site. At this time, only authorized individuals are permitted to enter the site.

Thornton Tomasetti also is seeking photos and video of the state fair stage and grandstand area before or after the August 13 event. These materials may be helpful to the company in its technical collection of data. A form to send photos and video is found on the website.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
