Applications are now open for the Indiana State Police 83^rd Lateral Recruit Academy.

Effective July 1, 2022, a Trooper Trainee’s salary increases to $47,000 plus approximately 200 hours of paid time off and $3,800 of paid overtime during the academy.

The salary increases to $51,000 upon graduation from Trainee to Probationary Trooper.

Probationary Troopers graduating from the 83^rd Academy who successfully complete field training receive a $5,000 one-time cash bonus in addition to their regular salary.
