BREMEN, Ind. -- Indiana State Police is offering details of a recent operation it conducted connected to human trafficking.

ISP officials announced it carried out a "targeted human trafficking operation" in northern Indiana. It says the operation was carried out in collaboration with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Tribal Police Department, as well as the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the tribal police department.

According to an ISP press release, investigators identified multiple people believed to be possible victims of human trafficking. Officials say these potential victims were offered resources and assistance based on their needs.

Anyone who believes they are a victim of human trafficking, knows someone who may be a victim, or has information regarding suspected human trafficking can contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888, or text 233733. Suspected human trafficking can also be reported directly to local law enforcement.

Anyone in immediate danger should call 911.
