Indiana State Police investigating death at law enforcement academy

PLAINFIELD, Ind. - The Indiana State Police is investigating the death of an Indiana Police Officer at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

WRTV in Indianapolis identified the officer as 49-year-old Timothy Guyer.

Deputy Guyer was found dead in his bunk Tuesday morning. Investigators believe he died from a medical issue.

He was sworn into the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and had two weeks left of training at the time of his death.
