Indiana Supreme Court decides not to take up South Bend Police tapes case

The Indiana Supreme Court has chosen not to take up the police tapes lawsuit involving the South Bend Police Department, according to court documents. The Supreme Court filed the order on Thursday.

In the order, Chief Justice of Indiana, Loretta Rush, said, "Each participating member has had the opportunity to voice that Justice's views on the case in conference with the other Justices, and each participating member of the Court has voted on the petition. Being duly advised, the Court DENIES the petition to transfer."

This decision means the case could head to trial in St. Joseph County.
