INDIANAPOLIS -- According to a new report from the Indiana Business Journal shows that Mike Braun could call a special session of the state legislature as soon as Monday. The report indicates state lawmakers would be asked to consider redrawing Indiana's congressional maps during the session. 

The Journal cited three sources familiar with the governor's plans in the report. Braun could announce plans for the special session during Indiana's GOP Fall dinner, according to the IBJ. 

This comes after a larger nationwide push from President Donald Trump in an attempt to ensure Republicans remain in control of the U.S House of Representatives ahead of the 2026 midterms.
