Indiana's 2020 Primary Election moved to June 2

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Election Commission has decided to move the 2020 Primary Election from May 5 to June 2 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Registered voters will not need to give a reason to apply for an absentee ballot to vote by mail.

Residents of St. Joseph County can request an absentee ballot form by either calling 574-235-1812 or by downloading this form and printing it out.

The form will need to be signed by hand, as digital signatures are not accepted.

Once completed, the form can be emailed or mailed to St. Joseph County Circuit Court Clerk (Absentee Office) 101 S. Main St., South Bend, IN 46601.

Absentee ballot requests must be received by May 21.

Residents of other Indiana counties can call 317-232-3939 or visit the Election Division of the Indiana Secretary of State web page to apply for an absentee ballot.
