Indoor farm plants first crop

NEW BUFFALO, Mich.-- An indoor farm is one step closer to reality.
ABC 57 News first told you about plans for the old Plastic Master's building, last September.
Foutainhead Engineering is turning it into an indoor farm.
Monday, New Buffalo sixth-graders helper plant the first vegetables.
The goal is to have about 100 acres of plants.
Milan Kluko, with Fountainhead said, "No transportation, no supply chain.. but a much more secure food supply, because it's going to go right from here into the store."
The farm hopes to have its first harvest by Labor Day.
