INDOT offering paid college internships, scholarships

The Indiana Department of Transportation is calling on college students across the state to apply for scholarships as well as its internship program.

INDOT is accepting resumes for Governor’s Public Service Summer Internship positions through Friday, February 26. Those positions are being offered in Crawfordsville, Fort Wayne, Gary, Greenfield, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, La Porte, Seymour and Vincennes.

The compensation for these positions is $11.30 per hour.

Several scholarships are also available.

Students studying civil engineering are eligible for $3,125 per semester if they are willing to agree to some terms set by INDOT.

To qualify for the scholarship, students will work for INDOT on a variety of projects during their time in school, as well as during summer breaks and upon graduation.
