BRISTOL, Ind. -- Officials with the Town of Bristol announced the Indiana Department of Transportation will work on a paving project at the intersection of S.R. 15 and S.R. 120 from August 21 to 22.

Officials say truck traffic is encouraged to avoid the area by using the Ponderosa Drive and Bloomingdale Drive alternate truck route.

Town officials add they expect higher than normal traffic congestion in the downtown area and delays on S.R. 15 from S.R. 120 to the Toll Road and on S.R. 15 south of town.  

According to officials, NIPSCO's gas pipeline construction work, happening north of Division Street bridge, is not expected to be done before the intersection work begins.
