Industry certification reimbursement program returns to South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The City of South Bend's Upskill SB cohort program, which helps residents achieve industry-level job certifications, is returning for the summer.
Applications are now open for the program, which reimburses 100% of exam costs and at least 50% of training costs needed to become certified in the following fields:
- Information technology
- Business and management
- Cloud Computing
- Healthcare
- Climate/solar
The program's goal is to develop and retain talent in the South Bend community.
The city will accept 20 to 25 South Bend residents to this year's cohort.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and must live or work in South Bend.
The application will stay open until May 12 or until the cohort is full.
