Indy Public Schools superintendent apologizes for distasteful comments

INDIANAPOLIS -- The head of Indiana’s largest school district has apologized for a few distasteful comments he made about some students.

Indianapolis Public Schools Superintendent, Eugene White characterized some students as "blind, crippled, and crazy."

White made the comments on a radio show last week referring to all of the kids who enroll with Indy public schools as opposed to the ones accepted into private and charter schools.

He apologized Tuesday at the school board meeting.
