Infant, two adults injured in crash, suspect charged with OWI

TOPEKA, Ind. -- A driver was arrested after rear ending a buggy, which caused serious injuries to the three occupants of the buggy, according to the La Grange County Sheriff's Department.

Benjamin Hanna was traveling eastbound on 600 S around 1 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle rear ended a buggy traveling eastbound, deputies said.

All occupants of the buggy were ejected in the crash.

Two of the occupants, a 30-year-old and 15-month-old were taken by helicopter to Parkview Hospital.

The third occupant was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Hanna was taken into custody on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated- controlled substance, causing serious bodily injury; and false informing.
