INTERNet hosting virtual fair featuring only paid internship opportunities

Indiana INTERNet is hosting its first virtual internship fair on March 28 featuring only paid opportunities located in Indiana.

The internship-matching programs run by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce will allow students and employers to interact digitally through text, audio or video chat from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Students do not have to participate during the entire time frame; they can sign in whenever they are able to.

Mike Slocum, Indiana INTERNet Executive Director says that there are 11 businesses and organizations attending the fair and nearly 300 students signed up to participate.

Students hoping to participate in Thursday’s fair can register on the program’s website, even on the day of the virtual event.

Positions for summer and future semesters are available.

“It’s up to each individual company but if all goes well, they could hire interns tomorrow,” Slocum said.

Students can participate in the virtual fair for free.
