IOSHA slaps three organizations with fines

INDIANAPOLIS – On Thursday, IOSHA cited three organizations in the deadly stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair.

Mid-America Sound Corp, the company that owned and built the stage, was fined $63,000.

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage employees have to pay $11,500.

The Indiana State Fair Commission got slapped with a $6,300 fine!

"The commission did not take measures to protect employees, who were exposed to hazards.. including, but not limited to severe weather and hazards associated with temporary structural systems,” said Lori Torres with the Indiana Department of Labor.

Seven people died in the Aug. 13 collapse.

Dozens more were hurt -- including a Mishawaka woman.
