Irish beat Vols on road

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Notre Dame women's basketball team scored another victory over the Tennessee Volunteers on the road with a 77 to 67 victory.
Senior point guard Skylar Diggins scored a career-high 33 points in the win.
This was also the first time the Irish defeated the Volunteers on their home court. This is the their consecutive victory for the Irish against the Volunteers. Tennessee leads the series 20-3.
Prior to the start of the game, the Volunteers raised a banner to honor long-time former head coach Pat Summitt.
The number two Irish have now won 14 games in a row. They will return to Big East play on Saturday at Purcell Pavilion against Cincinnati.
