Irish cornerback undergoes surgery, expected back in summer

Irish football player Nick Watkins had surgery Saturday night at South Bend Orthopedics.
The junior cornerback underwent successful surgery for a fractured left humerus.
Watkins suffered the injury during practice on Saturday morning.
Notre Dame tells us he will be sidelined for the remainder of spring drills but he is expected back during summer workouts.
