Irish defeat Wichita State 80-71 in Sweet 16

The Notre Dame Men's Basketball team will play in its first Elite 8 game since 1979 when the Irish were coached under Digger Phelps. On Thursday the Irish defeated the shockers 80-71 and Notre Dame dominated in field goal percentage.
Senior Pat Connaughton had his 9th double-double of the season.
On Saturday Notre Dame will play the winner of the Kentucky and West Virginia game at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
