ROANOKE, Va. – A group of alumni from the University of Notre Dame and ABC 57 prepared for anticipated battle for the Irish and the Hokies Friday evening at a pep rally.
The pep rally was held at Roanoke Catholic School and Notre Dame fans were excited to share their spirit!
Cheerleaders and former Notre Dame players were in the spotlight.
Rod Smith, Notre Dame Cornerback in 1988-1992 seasons, told ABC 57 what the Irish will have to do to win over the Hokies on Saturday.
“Our quarterback has got to make throws specifically on first down, to loosen the defense and get our run game going. I think we can get to 30 on these guys. I like 34-17.” Smith said.
Saturday Kickoff begins at 7 p.m. right before game time.
