Irish getting ready to take on USC

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Irish are getting ready to head to LA to take on USC and Tuesday, Coach Brian Kelly talked to ABC 57 about the game that could clinch a trip to the National Championship.

The Trojans' regular QB Matt Barkley is likely out with a shoulder injury.

Redshirt freshman Max Wittek is expected to play.

Coach said the Irish have been good at expecting the best from their opponents.

"We try to stay focused on the next practice because if we did what you guys did and look at that big picture stuff it would drive us crazy too," said Coach Kelly.

Coach Kelly said the defense will not adjust to fit Wittek's skills. Instead they'll stick to their game plan which seems to have worked so far.
