Irish make ready for Champs Sports Bowl with final practice

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Tuesday afternoon was the last practice the Fighting Irish held before the Champs Sports Bowl.

The team took to the field and ran through some final drills. They've been in Orlando preparing for the bowl game for the last few days.

They will hold a final walk through the stadium Wednesday. Then the big game is Thursday against No. 25 Florida State.

When the Irish do take the field for the game they'll do so in some special shoes.

Addidas has cooked up new cleats just for the game. The kicks feature a navy blue toe.

The field at the stadium is artificial turf. The real grass was replaced after a muddy game back in 2009.
