Irish to honor military at season opener

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s basketball team will open its regular season on Saturday. And in honor of Veteran’s Day, the Irish will hold a Military Appreciation Day.
Anyone who presents a military I.D. can buy tickets for Saturday’s game for just $5 a piece.
The game is also the first game in the opening rounds of the Coaches versus Cancer Class.
Notre Dame will host Evansville Saturday at Purcell Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
