SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Notre Dame's campus will be buzzing on Saturday with several sports in action. Two of them, women's basketball and hockey, have big postseason matchups taking place.
The women's basketball team begins its national championship defense with the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The top-seeded Irish tip off against No. 16 Bethune-Cookman at 11 am on Saturday at Purcell Pavilion. With a win, they would advance to the second round where they would host the winner of Central Michigan and Michigan State.
Across the Joyce Center parking lot, the Notre Dame men's hockey team will take the ice at Compton Family Ice Arena trying to defend a title of its own. The Irish host Penn State at 8 pm for the Big Ten Tournament championship game, not only going for another conference title but also trying to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
Hear from both teams above!
